Description & origin: Floral flavours are accompanied by notes of tropical fruit and candy as well as highlights of strawberry, candyfloss and charred pineapple. Comprising of 100% washed Arabica coffees from cooperatives La Providencia in Nicaragua and Kinini in Rwanda, we’re excited to be able to offer this special blend.
Since its creation in 2008, Kinini has developed a global reputation for speciality coffees and become synonymous with positive impact in Rwanda. A portion of all coffee sold goes to their charity A New Beginning, which last year ensured over 300 children attended the school built through proceeds from coffee sales.
Situated in areas of outstanding natural beauty in North Wiwili, we visited La Providencia cooperative in Nicaragua last year and were absorbed by the passionate and collaborative spirit of the Nicaraguan people. Learning first hand how the 332 farmer members work to ensure their coffee contributes to the health of the land, the farmers and the people who drink it, we spent time with a youth project who were producing bio-fertilisers and pesticides in response to the rising cost of chemical products and need for better environmental solutions.
