About This Coffee
The Cooperatives
La Providencia, Nicaragua
Situated in areas of outstanding natural beauty in North Wiwili, Nicaragua, La Providencia Cooperative was founded by 20 local farmers in 1996. Growing 100% Arabica coffee on the edge of the Reserva Natural Cerro Kilambe and mountain range Cordillera Isabelia, the 337 male and female members of La Providencia Cooperative work to ensure their coffee contributes to the health of the land, the farmers and the people who drink it.
Agua Negra, Colombia
The Agua Negra reserva is located in Cauca, the Municipio de Morales. Made up of one hundred and one producers belonging to an indigenous ethnic group. As time has passed they have improved quality processes with a focus on environmental development programs to mitigate the impact of producing their coffee, making for high-quality indigenous coffee. The soft washed coffees they produce go through an eco beneficio, reducing the amount of water use whilst maintaining the floatation, pulping and fermentation steps needed.
