S’mores Mocha

Autumn half-term is here, and it's the perfect time to take a moment to make a sweet treat together as a family. Try making our s’mores mocha, or skip the coffee altogether and make a cosy s’mores hot chocolate instead. Either way, it’s a fun recipe that brings all the bonfire magic right to your mug. Think gooey marshmallows, melty chocolate and crunchy biscuits.

Kids will love getting involved (toasting marshmallows and crumbling biscuits, with a little grown-up supervision, of course). So grab your mugs, round up the family and get ready for a mini kitchen adventure, and maybe a few marshmallow moustaches along the way.

S'mores mocha Step 1

Toast some marshmallows using a blowtorch (or roaring open fire if you're lucky enough to have one) and set them aside.

Pop your hot chocolate powder into your cup.

Pour in a double shot of CLASSIC Espresso (or DECAF if you want a low-caffeine alternative)

Our favourite recipe:
18g ground coffee
Brewed to 40 - 45g liquid espresso
24 - 28 seconds extraction time

S'mores Mocha Step 4

Combine your espresso with the hot chocolate and mix until all the powder is completely dissolved.

Texture and heat your milk of choice to a creamy latte texture and pour it into your espresso and chocolate mix.

Top the mocha with the toasted marshmallows and crumble some digestives on top. Serve and enjoy!

For the kiddie-friendly hot chocolate version, simply omit the coffee in steps 3 & 4. Enjoy
